<p>waking up in the morning is my least wanted to do task since young. the 1st stop was the nearest: <a href="https://foursquare.com/v/%E6%B2%99%E7%99%BB%E8%8A%B1%E6%9E%9C%E5%9B%AD%E4%B9%89%E5%B1%B1/4d97c922647d8cfacd45df3d">沙登花果园义山</a> where we had our picnic breakfast aka 1st breakfast of the day. the 2nd breakfast at <a href="https://foursquare.com/v/kedai-kopi-lee-wah/4c7d3f706d79bfb7dcb495b9">Kedai Kopi Lee Wah</a> which is after here and before going to the 2nd place which is located at <a href="https://foursquare.com/v/kwong-tong-funeral-parlour/4db0412ef7b1bd003ac66d8f">Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour</a>. it was so jam! a guy that we met, said the week before wasn&#8217;t a good week so people come this week aka last sunday. <img src='http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> <img src='http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>what did we bring to our ancestors? i&#8217;m referring we as everybody who went on that day. we had agar-agar with crunchy white fungus, roasted chicken, roasted pork, oranges, red apples, mangoes, dragon fruits, fatt kous, tea for the ancestors, chinese candles, joss-sticks, praying cups, flowers, gardening tools to clean the grave, kuehs, meat paus, fried fishes, 2 packs of plain white rice, water for washing our dirty fingers, scissors for cutting food, peeler for removing fruit skin, and whatever I didn&#8217;t mention.</p>
<p>we left some for there for the ancestors, we ate some, and the rest to the 2nd place. we ate at both places under sun. who stated the idea of having picnic with our ancestors at the grave yard? with so much smoke from the burning and from the moving vehicles? so much pollution!</p>
<p>there are also people burning pao jeong! for fun? or to wake the dead? so noisy! waste of money! do we know that this is 1 month that we are spending more than usual? lets not talk about other festive lah. just this festival alone. we are burning money. not directly but the things! the paper items that we buy and burn! burning paper/plastics create smokes that create air pollution that create human sickness.</p>
<p>do we really need to burn these things? do they really need them? aren&#8217;t they reincarnated yet? these things aren&#8217;t cheap.</p>

She&#8217;s our Uncle Kiah Wah&#8217;s daughter; he&#8217;s our mom&#8217;s 1 and only brother staying in Australia with his family.</p>
<p>This restaurant is located at <strong>6-0-16, Block 6, Meadow Park, Jalan 1/130,</strong><br />
<strong>Taman Gembira, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur</strong>. It&#8217;s a corner shop.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/rtk.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5043" title="rtk" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/rtk-280x300.jpg" alt="" width="280" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>You can call them at <strong>03-7982 2319</strong> for bookings. My advice. Be there early otherwise the place will be packed. It&#8217;s just a 2 unit restaurant. Food wise? Recommended. Even my brother said that&#8217;s the best place to eat around the area. We&#8217;ve been there for simple dinners as well as birthday dinners with our relatives. It&#8217;s always relatives dinner over there..</p>
<p>We had 4 plates of rice: Jass, him, popo and Keith. Mom had about 2 tablespoons of rice from popo. And me none. My brother did  add a small rice after that. I&#8217;m not a rice person so is ok if I don&#8217;t eat rice at all. Our tea of the night was Kuk Po and that was refillable. There was a plate of peanuts that I didn&#8217;t eat. Throat itchy lah&#8230; how to eat?</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t ever ask me the names of the dishes that we had because I can&#8217;t remember and since I didn&#8217;t take any picture so you&#8217;ve imagine. We had</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Winter Melon Soup </strong>&gt; It wasn&#8217;t very big so it was ngam ngam ho for 6 adults. Other than the winter melon itself, got red dates, chicken feet and mom said got dried oyster. Very refreshing and lotsa winter melon flesh to eat.</li>
<li><strong>Lala</strong> &gt; Lots of ginger and I hate that! Simple and nice. Quite big pieces of lala. I think I saw chili padi. The soupy liquid was yellow wine. Nice to drink but the ginger and chili padi made my tongue hot! </li>
<li><strong>Vegetable </strong>&gt; It&#8217;s 1 type of vegetable that I mistaken it as leek + tauge. Stir fry with garlic. Very nice and mom said the leek liked vegetable is not a common vegetable that you can always buy from the market.</li>
<li><strong>Steam Pak So Gung </strong>&gt; I love steam fish especially if you don&#8217;t over steam it. I had both sides of the pipi. Yummy! I had the remaining of the tail too. Yummy yummy! Pak So Gung is Catfish right? 1 of my favourites. I had to remove the ginger, parsley and spring onion because I could get the fish.</li>
<li><strong>Pork with Sliced Mantau</strong> &gt; The portk is similar to Tong Po Yuk but it was called something like Lo Fu don&#8217;t know what.. Anyway, you take a piece of eat and you wrap it with the sliced mantau and eat. It sliced mantau instead of the whole mantau because the pork was not that big. Ngam ngam ho for 6 persons.</li>
</ol>
<p>I&#8217;ve no idea how much was the dinner because the 2 of us still eating. Finishing up the balance ma..</p>

<p>As usual, we went to his eldest aunt&#8217;s house near Jusco Bukit Raja. And as usual we had Pizza Hut&#8217;s pizzas for lunch; my brunch! The usual happenings lah&#8230; nothing much can be done.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0149.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4657" title="IMG_0149" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0149-210x300.jpg" alt="" width="210" height="300" /></a> Our naughty nephew who turned 5 years old this year [Chinese Calendar]. He doesn&#8217;t look like he&#8217;s 5 because he&#8217;s so skinny! I&#8217;ve seen kids at his age much much meaty and healthier than him. A kid who doesn&#8217;t eat will grow skinny. And a kid who only like to eat non proper meal will not have enough nutrient.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0151.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4659" title="IMG_0151" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0151-186x300.jpg" alt="" width="186" height="300" /></a> The baby needed his dose of milk, cradled to finish up his long drinking session of his milk by an aunt. He took so long to finish that bottle of milk. He&#8217;s always taking his own sweet time. I wonder how much air went into his tummy.</p>
<p>After the house visiting, we [we as of his parents, us, his brother &amp; family. and his sister] went to I-City for the 1st time. The place can be considered as a beauty ONLY at night when all the lights are on. Took a few photos using my iPhone while some were taken by my SIL.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0182.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4685" title="IMG_0182" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0182-300x278.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="278" /></a> There, we went to see the Reptile Exhibition which is NOT FREE. FIL paid for the entrance fee. There is 1 section that I didn&#8217;t see in there AND that is THE SNAKES SECTION. I&#8217;m seriously snake phobia and those are real ones. I heard they have ANACONDA there! I actually saw some guys unloading a big and heavy snake into the glass display area from a sack-bag.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0154.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4662" title="IMG_0154" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0154-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> This is Black/Smiling Terrapin aka Kura-kura Dendang Hitam aka Siebenrockiella crassicolis. It can grow up to 20cm and more. It was huge in the tank! It can be found from shallow, densely vegetated waters of Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo and Java.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0155.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4663" title="IMG_0155" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0155-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> This is Alligator Snapping Turtle aka Macrochelys temminckii. No wonder it looks ugly to me. It can be found at rivers, lakes and bayous of Southeast United States. It has a pink wormlike projection on its tongue to lure food such as fish and frog. Its jaw is a powerful snapping tool so don&#8217;t simply put your finger into its mouth!</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0159.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4671" title="IMG_0159" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0159-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> This is Malayan Giant Terrapin aka Kura-kura Gergasi aka Orlitia bormeensis that can grow up to 80cm. It eats leaves. It can be found at deep freshwater lakes and rivers in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and Kalimantan. Want some sui yue? Kura-kura ni dah nak pupus.. Thanks to us who eat its meat&#8230;</p>
<p>TO SURVIVE, WE CAN BE REALLY CRUEL TO ANY LIVING ANIMALS, HUMANS AND PLANTS. WE ONLY CARE WHEN THEY EXTINCT</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0161.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4673" title="IMG_0161" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0161-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> I was poking a fake or a dried turtle? Anyway, it was a big one. This was taken by him using my iPhone. He was having problem taking picture with the phone.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0162.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4675" title="IMG_0162" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0162-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> He wasn&#8217;t talking to the turtle but admiring it?</p>
<p>Hopefully I didn&#8217;t mixed up all the names and turtles because I really remember which is which!</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0164.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4676" title="IMG_0164" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0164-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> This is Pig-snouted River Turtle aka Labi-labi Moncong Babi aka Carretocheyls insculpta that looks like my Sammy&#8217;s relative. It grows up to 70 &#8211; 75cm and it has the same nose as my Sammy. It can be found at rivers and lagoons of South New Guinea and Northern Australia.</p>
<p>My Boboyue aka Gold Fish went Heaven already and left the 3 lo she yue in the big tank because Sammy is its home. I&#8217;m thinking of getting another turtle. Not all turtles/tortoises are ugly.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0172.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4678" title="IMG_0172" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0172-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> It took me so long to take a picture of a raccoon instead of 2 raccoons! They were like playing or fighting with each other, moving here and there, up and down, it was so hard to focus! Finally Mr/Ms Raccoon aka Rakun aka Procyon lotor here is free for picture! It grows between 40 -70cm and feeds on leaves, frog and etc.. Raccoon&#8217;s hands are so nimble that they can untie shoelaces, break open clam shells, pickpocket a coin from your pocket, and etc..</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0171.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4679" title="IMG_0171" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0171-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> No idea what type is this because no desciption on the glass display.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0175.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4680" title="IMG_0175" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0175-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> Let&#8217;s have some tin kai chuk tonight! This is Chinese Bullfrog aka Field Frog, Chinese Edible Frog aka Rana rugulosa that can grow up to 12cm or more. It can be found widespread in China, all the way to Peninsula Malaysia. The flat-lying frog is the one that attracted me to snap their pictures. They feed on pests such as ants. One day, they will extinct due to human consumptions.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0176.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4681" title="IMG_0176" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0176-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> Quick! Is Reunion Dinner time! Here comes the Asian Forest Turtle aka Kura-kura Hutan aka Manouria emys. Whether they are a family or not, they really looked like having reunion dinner. Oklah&#8230; it was meal time.. <img src='http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> As you can see, they feed on leaves such as lettuce because what they were eating there really look like lettuce and some french beans I guessed. They can be found at India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysian and Indonesia. It&#8217;s the largest tortoise in mainland Asia.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0178.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4682" title="IMG_0178" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0178-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> Let&#8217;s welcome the world&#8217;s 2nd smallest monkey! This is Common Marmoset aka Callitrix jacchus that can grow between 14 &#8211; 18cm. What?! Feeds on leaves and ants. It&#8217;s commonly found in Brazil.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0181.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4683" title="IMG_0181" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0181-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> The sky wasn&#8217;t dark yet when we came out. So we took pictures outside before heading elsewhere.</p>
<p>Want to know more? Go search Google.. <img src='http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0183.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4687" title="IMG_0183" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0183-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> Next, we went to the Fun Fair area. LQ and his dad went on a ride while LM can only see them ride because she&#8217;s too young and short for any rides. As for us? Picture here and there.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0185.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4693" title="IMG_0185" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0185-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> Ligts are starting up and the sky was getting darker.</p>
<p>Next, we went to the Snow Walk which is NOT FREE too. Basically nothing is free. Most of us were wearing sandals so our feet got cold and numb and red and painful because ice went into our sandals. The ice floor was of course slippery.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny3.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4764" title="cny3" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny3-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a> Ice penguins.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny4.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4766" title="cny4" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny4-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0186.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4694" title="IMG_0186" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0186-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> Winter clothes in Malaysia? Yip! and is only in the Snow Walk. The photos are in my SIL&#8217;s camera so nothing to see now.</p>
<p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vRPSr7RHFFc" frameborder="0" width="420" height="315"></iframe> What a tiring job! Taken with my iPhone while waiting for him, his brother and wife to come out from the Snow Walk.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0192.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4696" title="IMG_0192" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0192-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0194.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4698" title="IMG_0194" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0194-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0195.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4699" title="IMG_0195" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0195-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a> The dark open parking area.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0196.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4700" title="IMG_0196" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/IMG_0196-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a> This place really needs proper maintenance.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny5.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4768" title="cny5" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny5-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4763" title="cny2" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny2-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a> Taken by a stranger using my SIL&#8217;s camera and the result? So the not satisfy but is already taken&#8230;. and you can&#8217;t blame the helpful person.</p>
<p>We took photos since arrival until we left the place when we&#8217;re done. The kids bought some play stuff home. From 4SQ, I saw Space Walk in the list but I didn&#8217;t see any direction board pointing its location. I wonder where is it. Well, it was an experience there but not the type of place that I will go again BUT is still much better than going to Jenjarom.</p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny7.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4769" title="cny7" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/cny7-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/cny1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4759" title="cny1" src="http://wongjolene.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/cny1-300x261.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="261" /></a> A family photo that was taken by a stranger using my SIL&#8217;s camera.</p>
<p>Now&#8230;. what did we eat for dinner? We had our dinner at a Chinese coffeeshop near his parents&#8217; house. There&#8217;s no place to eat because mostly are closed on the 1st day.</p>
<p>Whatever happened next is history because i can&#8217;t remember anymore&#8230;</p>
