#47: 2-in-1 Meal

Thermomix is a VERY USEFUL, EXPENSIVE, SMALL KITCHEN, SAVE PLACE, SAVE TIME, AND HEALTHY COOKING. I was skeptical like anyone else before getting one. Last week, I made 1 meat dish and 1 soup, cooked at the same time.

Cook Time: 1 hour

Speed: 2

Temperature: 100°C

Portion: Soup for 1-2 persons, Chicken for 1 person

Ingredients:

  • 1 Chicken Leg, clean
  • Homemade Stock
  • Corn (I cut from 1 small maize. Don’t throw the outer layer – I don’t know what you call it)
  • 4 Small Tomatoes
  • 1 Small White Radish, remove skin
  • 1000 g Water

Method:

  1. Cut the radish bite sizes. Put them into the TM Basket (is that the right name?) into the TM Bowl.
  2. Cut the radish leaves (if got) and add in too.
  3. Cut 2 tomatoes. Add to the radish.
  4. Add water. And put on the lid.
  5. Top up with the Varoma Dish or any steamer you prefer.
  6. Layer the maize leaves (I really don’t know what is that called).
  7. Rub some homemade stock onto the chicken leg. Place it on the leaves.
  8. Sprinkle the corns.
  9. Cut the balance 2 tomatoes and put around the chicken leg.
  10. Put on the Varoma cover. Cook 1 hour / 100°C / Speed 2.
  11. Eat while hot.

#43: WAUngo Restaurant

Got a leaflet for this place when I came pasar malam on Monday.

Address: 8, Jalan PSK 8, Pusat Perdagangan Seri Kembangan, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

What you see in leaflet is for display only. Taste wise.. not bad.. I certainly would prefer more rendang gravy for the rice. The syrup is not too strong of rose flavor (I hate it when it’s too strong) but macam not enough susu.. Portion wise… okay for 1 serving… not too much… not too little…

This place is fan-conditioned. Street parking.

#21: Overnight Oats in Water

This is my first time having overnight oats in water instead of milk with/without yogurt. I got this idea from a friend. She told me, her friend told her to use water. So I tried. Surprisingly it taste good and of course there’s always a first time. And honestly.. this is also my first time using chia seeds. Today’s oats gave me a refreshing feel, thanks to the orange. 😁

#chiaseeds #water #instantquakeroats #blueberries #orangepulps

With the same amount of oats.. if milk is used, is creamier and if yogurt is used, confirm nicer. Not to say it’s not nice now.. is just that I prefer the creamier version (like porridge).

#18: Jibby & Co

Met up with Vivian and miss Ngow, along with her niece for late lunch aka my late Brunch. We’ve not seen each other a year long.. at least..

We went to Jibby & Co which is located at GK11, Empire Shopping Gallery, Jalan SS 16/1, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It’s actually next to the open space car park at Ground Floor, near to Starbucks. It’s open from 8.30 am till 10.30 am, Monday to Sunday. I assumed you can call +603-56137070 for reservation.  It’s a 2-storey building, with glass panels allowing natural sunlight shine in.. I quite like the environment, the shape of the building, and the food.

I don’t really remember the names of what we had.. so… here are the picures…….

Salted egg yolk chicken popcorn – Bite sized. Addictive.
My chocolate shake.
Crossaint – the egg omelette is so creamy and yummy.
Hommus – came with toasted bread. Very flavorful.
Salad – came with black sesame sauce.
Pasta – linguini with hot chili oil, chilli flakes, tomatoes, buffalo cheese. A bit too hot for me.
Food for sharing.
Cheese cake.
Raspberry and pistachio cake.
Cakes for sharing.

we chatted for hours. Miss Ngow was my piano teacher, and Vivian is my piano classmate. We’ve known each other many years.
