#83: doing nothing. .

Lazily sitting on the bed.. left hand holding the phone while right index finger swiping the phone keyboard, typing this post. Another lonely boring night.. on and off killing mosquitoes with the mosquito racket. This is what I do when I’m not out in the street playing ingress. There’s nobody here. Only room light on. Fans on. Window views blocked. Maybe can see silhouette, I don’t know. Menstrual came early, came yesterday. Mood swing to 0. I’ve walked inside the house, wearing just underwear with menstrual pad, and a top. If you want to peek, go ahead. I’m not pretty. I’m fat. Do i have friends? I do but they are not here. None near me. I’m just a lonely bitch that’s all. Rarely I blog from phone. Waiting to get just 1 successfully hired job is painful, stressful, depressing, and frustrating. Because every second passed, it’s not getting closer, is further. Whenever I thought I nailed it, it’s a negative. I’m losing hope. I might as well lose myself. I do feel hopeless. Every negative thoughts I can think of.. is there in my mind. I really need financial support until I can really be financial independent. I’m like applying jobs almost daily. I’m forcing myself until emotional breakdown. I cried. How many people can actually understand what I’m going thru? A friend suggested I have a few sips of wine before sleep. It works. I can sleep better. I don’t drink when I’m too sleepy or sick. I got the cheap wine. It’s inside the fridge. I never like drinking warm wine. Friends come and go. I don’t recognise anymore.. who’s staying who’s leaving.. who’s real who’s fake… does it really matter anymore? Sometimes I felt like I want to be the bad girl.. seeking revenge… be the bitch.. but can I really do it? What am I thinking? I tried cheering myself. Sometimes yes sometimes no. There’s always insecurity in me. Why me? Why am I going through all these?

#82: Nyonya For Dad’s Birthday

31st December 2017, New Year’s Eve, my dad’s birthday. Yes. the last day of the year. My mom made the booking to dine at Nyonya Roots Private Kitchen located at No. 43, Jalan SS 19/1, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor. For unknown reasons, the tagging address in Facebook, Instagram, and Swarm indicates 3K Sport Complex Subang Jaya which is actually at SS 13.

I, only know EAT.. so I don’t know what’s the exact name of the dishes we had in the menu. Gelaran biasa tau lah… 😀 😀

Reservation: MUST because they don’t accept walk-in.

Location: It’s a bungalow house by the main road, near a row of shops, and a surau.

Halal: Yes.

Total Damage: Mom order a 6-pax meal but according to the receipt, it was a 5-pax meal, that cost RM 280. No idea why.. And mom only realized the difference after we left the place.

Food: Recommended because it suits our taste buds. Not overly salty that usually cause us thirst after eating.

Ambiance: It gives me a homey feel. Well… you do need to remove your shoes before going into the house. It’s good to listen to music while dining, and there are rooms to cater your needs. Most of the indoor dining tables I was can cater at least 10 person. The room we were in, is air-conditioned and there’s a ceiling fan too.

Now… let me share pictures…

Give it a try! The appetizer is crunchy and refreshing to start the meal. 😀 😀

#81: FOODHUB

I have always wanted to try this restaurant since its opening. Finally today got the chance because I found a place to park. I am never good at side parking, that is why I waited till just now.

Click on the pictures for a clearer view if you need.

RESTORAN FOODHUB is a Western, Asian, Fusion Restaurant that is located at 64 Jalan BS 6/2, Taman Bukit Serdang, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Their contacts are 03-89407233 and foodhub717@gmail.com. This place opens from 5.30 pm until I don’t know what time already. 😀

Total Damage: RM 18.80

Grilled Chicken with Hainan Sauce, Salad, and Potato Wedges @ RM 13.90

In the receipt, it says Chicken Chop. If you order just Grilled Chicken as in the menu, it cost you only RM 11.90. But mine is RM 13.90 because I customized the sauce and 1 side dish; the potato wedges. I was given boneless chicken.

Cold Lemon Mint @ RM 4.90

Refreshing. Nice minty smell.

I guess the owners are Chinese-Filipinos. There are at least 2 Filipino ladies at service, because the other waiters and waitress are Chinese, and they looked like having school holidays. Air-conditioned, I’m not sure if there’s WIFI or not because I was using own data. There’s music playing. I paid my bill with cash so I don’t know if they accept credit card or not. I’ll come again some other time..

#80: Kedai Kopi Kheng Nam Seng

Submitted a Single Mission in Seremban with the above title.

This is the shop of my maternal grandmother’s shop, where my mom and her siblings grew up. All you can see now is an abandoned shop with a tree growing higher and higher from inside. You can see the tree if you look up. I guessed the owner didn’t get to sell it off when my grandmother quit running the coffee shop.

#79: Super Moist Steam Chocolate Blueberries Cake

Saved this recipe in my phone some time ago. Only yesterday, finally made it with a bit modification.

Ingredients A:

  • 180 g Butter
  • 150 g Brown Sugar
  • Nescafe
  • 250 g Fresh Milk
  • 70 g Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Ingredients B:

  • 100 g Condensed Milk
  • 3 size A Eggs

Ingredients C:

  • 150 g Plain Flour, sieved
  • 1 tsp Double Action Baking Powder, sieved
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

Extra: Blueberries

Notes:

  • I replace Nescafe with Milo.
  • I used Full Cream Milk instead of Fresh Milk.
  • I sieved the Cocoa Powder.
  • I didn’t use Vanilla Essence because it expired.
  • I used normal Baking Powder instead. I thought I have the Double Action one.

Method:

  1. Place the Ingredients A into TM bowl to mix. MC/5 min/60°C/Speed 2.
  2. Add in condensed milk and do the setting. 1 min/Speed 3. Then slowly add in the eggs thru the hole in 3 batches.
  3. Add in Ingredients C to mix. Scrap down the mixture and repeat. 10 sec/Speed 3.
  4. Scrap down the mixture using spatula and mix again. 5 sec/Speed 3.5.
  5. Strained the batter into the lined 8 inch round pan and place the pan into the varoma unit (place chopsticks under the pan for hot air ventilation) and cover the top of the pan loosely with a piece of parchment paper. —- I didn’t use the varoma unit, I used the bamboo steamer.
  6. Mix in the blueberries. —- I was a bit greedy that I put the whole pack.
  7. Add in 1500 g water into TM bowl to boil. MC/15 min/V/Speed 2.
  8. Stack the varoma unit on top to steam. 60 min/V/Speed 2. —- Had to steam another 60 min because too wet in the middle.

Best eaten when kept inside fridge overnight. 1 slice at a time.
